In this entry-level role, you'll learn the best ways to contribute to client account work, from media relations to content development and research. 

Cirkle is one of the UK’s leading brand communications consultancies and their clients are a mix of the most talked about, iconic household names and include the likes of PepsiCo, Birds Eye, Britvic, Ferrero, GSK and Premier Foods.

Cirkle's corporate team is a fast-growing, award-winning team. Thanks to a raft of new business wins and expanding client remits, they are now on the hunt for an exceptional Account Assistant to join a corporate team. The corporate team has a wealth of exciting clients including the likes of Dyson, Ferrero, Britvic, GSK and Mars Petcare. The team is responsible for protecting and enhancing the reputations of some of the UK’s biggest brands. This can vary from media outreach to event management or from creative campaign delivery to social media strategy and development. The role is a varied one with a 360 view of communications.



Client Relations

  • Provide behind the scenes support to handle and act quickly, efficiently and thoughtfully to enquiries from clients and media (with input from wider account teams)
  • Help prepare for quarterly/half year/full year reviews and PR planning days to ensure all content is accounted for and up to date
  • Ensure all clients plans are updated regularly, e.g. thought leadership calendars or profiling grids
  • Scan in all client / competitive corporate coverage to relevant Cirkle account teams and issue on day of issue adding insightful commentary
  • Update monthly PowerPoint coverage presentations or Releas'd pages for the client

Campaign Development & Delivery

  • Provide admin support to the wider team
  • Develop thought leadership and press release drafting skills, gain approval and organise distribution to key journalists

  • Develop an understanding of the media landscape and provide insight to the corporate team on media developments, e.g. when a journalist leaves a publication or gets promoted

  • In time, develop skills to sell in to relevant corporate media types and proactively suggest coverage opportunities to secure the best possible results for Cirkle’s clients

  • Organise assets to accompany releases and gain client approval

  • Draft copy for press releases and thought leadership content with heavy input from the Account Manager and manage the liaison with the publication

  • When required, co-ordinate logistics of organising a press briefing or event (e.g. sourcing and booking venue/online platform for briefing, liaising with journalists re: invites, arranging assets & samples and creating press packs)

  • Involve yourself in weekly internal newsroom - regularly reading and analysing media outlets for relevant corporate news, e.g. business pages, crisis, industry new


  • Contribute to creative ideas for new business pitches and client proposals
  • Liaise with design agency over development of assets
  • Flawlessly complete financial logging (PO records) as required and feed them through to Account Manager in a neat and timely fashion. NB: Training will be provided
  • Be an integral part of the Cirkle team to ensure the right culture is maintained in the office/virtually whilst not jeopardising levels of productivity


Knowledge, skills, experience

  • A demonstrable interest in developing a career within the comms industry, with a specific interest in corporate/B2B communications

  • Ability to act and think independently with confidence

  • Strong communication skills (both written and oral), research, and organisation skills

  • Time management and project management skills - ability to lead work confidently under pressure, to meet deadlines and prioritise in a fast-paced environment

  • Confidence to ask questions, make suggestions and bring ideas to the wider team that focus on client experience

  • High level of attention to detail

  • An enjoyment of writing and research tasks

  • Positive attitude to challenging situations and a willingness to go over and above to complete projects accurately and on time

  • Highly motivated and enthusiastic

  • Strong work ethic

  • Proficient in Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
