Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 dependent on experience (+bonus +benefits)

Location: The role will be based at our Didcot office, the Hely Hutchinson Centre, with a blend of in-office (3 days) and homeworking (2 days) per week.

What you'll be doing

  • Assist with the preparation of reporting to key stakeholders in the UK and to the overseas parent company
  • Assist with the preparation of account reconciliations (such as trade receivables)
  • Assist with the preparation of sundry invoices
  • Assist with the preparation of VAT returns
  • Assist with the preparation of statutory accounts and associated tax workings
  • Assist with Company Secretarial activities


Who we are looking for

  • The right person will possess some accounting knowledge (for example, through study, such as, but not limited to, an accounting related degree or an AAT level 3 qualification)
  • Good attention to detail
  • Possess strong communications skills, both written and verbal
  • An individual with a positive attitude, as well as have a desire to learn and understand
  • Able to possess owner mentality towards managing own workload to meet tight deadlines, at times demonstrating flexibility in order to achieve this
  • Able to use own initiative and proactively identify areas for improvement
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficient in Microsoft office (especially excel)
  • Previous experience of SAP or a complex accounting system would be advantageous, but not essential
