Do you have an interest in current affairs and want to develop your understanding of communications? 

Analysts provide the research and analysis on which all our advice rests. They monitor discussion of our clients' interests among media and stakeholders. All analysts produce excellent written work for a range of audiences and channels. They make valuable contributions to internal and external meetings offering both their point of view and organisational skills.

 

Responsibilities

Developing a deep expertise about clients and the subjects they care about through research and analysis:

  • Using tools such as Quid and Brandwatch to conduct high quality desk research and media analysis to inform our advice to clients.
  • Drawing insights from data and evidence to help identify how best to position clients and tell their story.
  • Reading widely about the issues clients are facing and the views of their critics as well as their supporters.

Supporting your client teams (typically two to three) to help execute the agreed strategy across a range of owned channels such as websites and social media platforms

  • Drafting compelling written content and support the delivery of significant communications moments including media briefings, FAQs, interviews and events.
  • Using organisational and project management skills to keep tabs on work that your teams need to deliver for your client.
  • Learning how to tailor the style and content of verbal and written communication to different audiences and channels
  • Using organisational skills to enable client teams to deliver high quality work in a timely fashion.
  • Giving (and receiving) regular feedback to people at all levels in the firm.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Intellectual curiosity to dig into new subjects.
  • Deep interest in current affairs.
  • Analytical and research skills.
  • Willingness to take on new and varied challenges.
  • A highly motivated team member who values collaboration.
  • A desire to seek out feedback in order to learn and develop.
  • No professional experience is required, but an interest in any of the following sectors is useful (public relations; communications; media; research).
  • A fluent command of English

We determine our fixed salary bands through annual industry benchmarking to ensure we are compensating our team competitively and fairly. Alongside base salary, our benefits package includes:

  • Discretionary twice-yearly bonuses (taking account of firm and individual performance);
  • 26 days annual leave, plus English Bank Holidays. In addition, we close the office in the evening of the 21st December until the morning of the 4th January to give an additional 7-8 days leave a year.;
