The LSO is seeking a Concerts and Recordings Assistant to support the Concerts & Recordings Manager with the logistical planning and administration of the orchestra diary, with particular attention to external recording projects (and UK concerts as appropriate).
Responsibilities
- Maintain the Orchestra’s diary and database.
- Help prepare the Orchestra’s Schedule and Schedule Updates.
- Create and maintain projects on the Orchestra database and in associated electronic and physical files.
- Look after orchestral players’ enquiries.
- Provide support in the organisation of the Orchestra’s external recording projects (and UK concerts as appropriate).
- Prepare and follow-up cost estimates, contracts and invoices for external recording projects.
- Supporting the Concerts Coordinator in liaising with the Barbican Music team (particularly for concert logistics) as well as liaising with other UK venues, artists/artist managers and promoters as necessary.
- Supporting the Concerts Coordinator in preparing and following up cost estimates, contracts and invoices for UK concerts.
- Working with other departments to create and help maintain certain projects on the database
- Attendance at concerts as a department representative.
- Provide support in other areas as time, training and ability allows.
