Dream of working in film & TV? Apply for this exciting entry-level programme to gain hands-on experience in behind-the-scenes roles on some of the biggest productions in the UK.
The CrewHQ Trainee Programme provides a pathway into a career in film and TV production. Based on site at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden, home to some of the biggest productions made in the UK such as The Batman, Barbie and Wonka, this programme will give you:
- Behind-the-scenes access to Warner Bros. Discovery film and TV productions
- Training from amazing industry experts
- Chance to interview for paid placements on Warner Bros. Discovery productions currently filming
- Networking opportunities with crew
We are looking for you to have a passion for working as a trainee crew member. The scheme duration is 1 year, but our guarantee after the training is only to provide opportunities to interview for paid placements.
What you will gain
A place on this programme includes training in the bespoke CrewHQ centre, based at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden, to prepare you for work and give you support, awareness and skills in the following areas:
- Set etiquette and resilience training for life on production
- Understanding key paperwork and terminology
- Guidance on how to be a freelancer
- Exploration of entry-level roles and career pathways across many different departments
- CV preparation and interview practice
All trainees will be supported by our CrewHQ team with guidance as well as financial support for training travel and accommodation costs.
Eligibility criteria
Applicants must be:
- Over 18 on or before 31 August 2024
- Not in full-time education by 31 August 2024
- Have the right to live and work in the UK
What we're looking for
- An interest in working in below-the-line roles (ie. production office, finance department, construction, costume, camera, locations, VFX, and more).
- We welcome applicants who may have transferrable skills, for example, from projects at school, college or university, or other creative sectors such as theatre, music, photography and commercial production, or from roles in other sectors such as business administration, event management, or make-up and hair applicants with salon experience.
We appreciate the time and effort that goes into applying and we will review every application individually. We anticipate that interviews and assessments will take place throughout September and October. The assessment day will be on Wednesday 13 November 2024.
