We’re on the hunt for an up-and-coming digital marketeer to join our growing team in Angel.

Gorilla Gorilla! is an independent video and animation studio that helps brands tell powerful stories of change. 

The Digital Marketing Executive will be responsible for helping the company deliver against its marketing strategy and will be accountable for key areas. The overall aim will be to develop Gorilla Gorilla! into the natural partner for the right clients through a strong, thought leadership driven, digital marketing presence. The overall strategy and plan will be overseen by one of our Founders, Dean, who this role will report to.


Key responsibilities

  • Research and insights: undertaking client, sector, and subject specialism[AL1]  research (e.g. best practice use of video for brand marketing, DEI, sustainability and employer brand etc.), collating results, and helping to write / produce thought leadership insights / reports that will appeal to existing clients and new business prospects.
  • Content creation and distribution: improving the reach of our thought leadership by creating digital marketing content for the company website and social media / communication channels.  
  • Community management: managing our communication channels including email, social media, website, and our presence on relevant industry sites.
  • Analytics: analyzing traffic and performance of our communications and making recommendations.
  • Awards: improving the reach of our creative work by managing entries to relevant awards / sharing successes through our digital channels.

Knowledge, skills and experience

  • Relevant experience in-house / freelance.
  • Passion and ability for research, copywriting and shaping marketing content.
  • Understanding of marketing campaign / sales life cycles.
  • Ability to understand marketing strategies / develop digital marketing ideas and concepts.
  • Strong internet research skills and the ability to collate results, identify trends and create presentations with findings. 
  • Good written communication skills for both long form and social.
  • Experience of social media account / website content management.
  • Ability to create digital marketing content from our client work and research-lead insights projects.
  • Passionate follower of new and inspirational video / animation / comms and brand content campaign work – you know what is hot and what’s not.
  • Genuine interest in the needs of our clients, and their challenges and the impact powerful stories can have on their business and the wider world.


  • Experience of CRM systems.
  • Knowledge of SEO / targeted social ad spend.
  • Knowledge of Canva.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Basic video editing skills.

Office / homeworking

This is primarily an office-based role (we’re on City Road near to Angel / Old St / Farringdon). We support homeworking with number of office days determined on a role-by-role basis with a current expectation of a minimum of 3 office days per week for all team members.
