Salary: £24,000 based in London, £22,000 based outside of London (+bonus +benefits)

  • A wide range of administrative tasks including general office administration
  • Organising meetings
  • Keeping minutes
  • Overseeing our publishing critical path
  • Organising copy-edits and proofreading
  • Updating Biblio
  • Processing invoices
  • Organising book proof mailouts
  • Supporting the busy Orion Fiction team with a variety of ad hoc tasks


Who we are looking for

  • You will be supremely well organised with a meticulous eye for detail, good writing skills and impeccable grammar and spelling
  • You will have the ability to multi-task, prioritise and stay calm under pressure
  • You will also be a good communicator, a team player, a passionate reader of commercial fiction and have a keen awareness of trends
  • You will be a confident user of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

Please note, we're currently recruiting for this role in one of the following Hachette UK office locations; London, Sheffield, Newcastle, or Edinburgh.
