Contract: Fixed term contract for 15 months, working 35 hours per week (including off-the-job learning)

Salary: £18,928 per annum, plus excellent benefits including flexible working, generous learning and development opportunities, and extensive wellbeing support

Location: Manchester (with occasional travel to other offices)

The Facilities Apprentice will work closely with the Senior Facilities Manager to provide an efficient, courteous, and professional facilities service to staff and visitors and assist with providing a safe, clean, comfortable, and well-equipped office environment.  This is a 15-month apprenticeship role, working towards the Facilities Services Operative Level 2 apprenticeship standard.

We will provide the opportunity to develop the skills needed to start your career in facilities management, which will be complemented by the Facilities Services Operative Level 2 apprenticeship leading to a nationally recognised qualification.


What we're looking for

  • We are looking for an enthusiastic, friendly, and proactive person who is organised and has good communication skills
  • Please note that this role is not suitable for graduates, and candidates with a degree or higher-level qualification will not be considered
  • The ideal candidate will be able to learn new skills quickly and able to use their initiative
  • This role would suit someone who is interested in starting a career in facilities management
  • You do not need any previous experience, but you should have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • GCSE Maths and English would be an advantage but are not necessary as functional skills training will be provided as part of the apprenticeship
