This is a great opportunity for an experienced bookkeeper or finance administrator looking to step up into a more senior position as well as experienced finance professionals looking for a new chapter in their career.

59 Productions is an Olivier and Tony Award-winning design studio based in London and New York. We create Story Driven Design -  new ways of telling stories through interdisciplinary design.

We have created work  for over 15 years; most recently David Hockney: Bigger and Closer, and The Moonwalkers: A Journey with Tom Hanksat our new venue, Lightroom, in Kings Cross, London, as well as Stranger Things: The First Shadow in the West End, Sam and Her Amazing Book of Dinosaurs at the Grand Theatre, Hong Kong Cultural Centre, and the touring F1 Exhibition across Europe.

Historically, we led the video design of the Opening Ceremony of the London 2012 Olympic Games, the design and creative direction of the record-breaking David Bowie Is exhibition, and the historic project-mapping artwork on the Washington Monument for Apollo 50 - Go for the Moon.

About the role

The finance manager will be responsible for managing 59’s day-to-day finance function, working closely with the head of finance and operations and the CFO.

The finance manager will be a key role in the operations team, integral to the smooth running of 59’s finance function. Working within 59’s core team and studio you will play a pivotal role in an ambitious, globally recognised design company with highly notable artworks and partnerships.  While we are a creative company we do not expect a previous experience of the cultural industries  - we are very open to people who haven’t worked in this field before, and those who are interested in the role finance plays in an ambitious creative environment.

This new role will support 59 to streamline and further strengthen the financial operation by bringing it in-house, currently outsourced to external bookkeepers.
