Reporting to: Senior HR Business Partner

Contract: The role is a full-time permanent position.

 

Bloomsbury Publishing is looking for an HR advisor to join our collaborative and friendly HR Team, which sits within the People & Engagement team.  

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated HR professional looking to build on their skill set. This role will provide HR advice, guidance and information on HR Policy, processes and on HR initiatives to line managers and employees across the UK business (population c. 900).

 

Responsibilities

  • Providing HR advice, arranging meetings regarding Maternity, Paternity and Shared Parental Leave matters
  • Conducting Maternity, Paternity and Shared Parental Leave administration
  • Support HR Business Partners with Employee Relations cases
  • Conducting exit interviews with employees
  • Participate and contribute to strategic HR Projects 
  • Responsibility for the support and administration of Occupational Health cases
  • Managing the general HR inbox
  • Taking notes at selected HR meetings
  • HR Administration


Knowledge, skills and experience 

  • Demonstrated HR Advisory experience
  • Knowledge of employment law and HR practices
  • Approachable and helpful 
  • Able to maintain confidentiality 
  • Able to develop and sustain good working relationships at all levels
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good organisational skills, workload prioritisation, attention to detail and accuracy

 

Additional information

The role is based at our London office 50 Bedford Square, London, WC1B 3DP working on a hybrid working pattern of 2 days office based / 3 days home based (or fully office based if preferred). Allocated office days for this role are to be confirmed.
