From building dashboards to identifying trends, you'll be at the forefront of shaping our marketing strategies in this exciting apprenticeship.

If you are looking for an opportunity to gain work experience and a qualification, then an apprenticeship at Channel 4 might be for you. 

Our Apprenticeships are full-time, with four days per week spent working in a C4 department and one day per week completing the formal learning parts of the apprenticeship. You’ll spend 60% of your working week in your office base and 40% working from home. The formal training provided will consist of workshops, tutorials, webinars, coaching and in some cases residential boot camps. 

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Marketing Analytics team who are responsible for supporting the Marketing team to harness data in order to make better decisions and create more effective Marketing campaigns.

Marketing Analytics are a team of marketing data experts with the aim to unlock insights on how our marketing impacts a user’s behaviour. We do this through a range of analytics methods and work closely with the Marketing team to drive data-led campaign decisioning.



  • Support Senior Marketing Analyst in building dashboards and auditing data 
  • Gather data and insight to understand how well our Marketing channels, platforms and campaigns are performing
  • Work towards being able to join, clean and manipulate a range of datasets, and identify trends to put forward recommendations for future Marketing strategies
  • Explain data and results to non-technical teams
  • Work closely with Marketing teams to ensure campaigns adhere to measurement best practise
  • Assist MarTech Operations Lead with creation of data segments for audience activation, and in validating new and existing data sources from a variety of technology platforms
  • Develop your knowledge of multiple teams within Channel 4 to find areas of collaboration
  • Help organise and keep track of projects, experiments and measurement through team planning tool


Knowledge, skills and experience

  • Verbal and written communication skills - Verbal - e.g. experience of dealing with customers or working as part of a team. Communication – e.g. writing emails, completing an application form or essay, or if you have a hobby that involves creative writing. 
  • Attention to detail -  e.g. Cashing up on tills or proofreading coursework.
  • Organisation skills and ability to prioritise tasks - e.g. Planning events whether personal or for professional purposes, as well as managing work life balance, for example working whilst doing coursework/exams. 
  • An understanding of and a passion for Channel 4's remit 
  • Confirm you have Maths & English GCSE Grade C (4) or above
  • Keen interest in Marketing and trends within the digital space
  • Analytical and problem-solving mindset
  • Keen interest in picking up new skills and learning how to use new technologies and systems


Eligibility criteria

  • You must be 18 years old or over at the time the scheme starts to apply. There is no upper age limit.
  • You’ll need to have a Grade C (4) or above in Maths & English GCSE
  • You can’t have already completed the qualification being offered or similar at the same or higher level
