Kenny Wax Productions is seeking a highly organised, motivated Office Assistant. The successful candidate will have a real interest in the theatre industry. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone looking to progress their career in the theatre sector by working for a vibrant production company with a group of dedicated and supportive colleagues.


What you'll learn

  • Office operations – likely to include: IT and Phone infrastructure, management support, phone & email correspondence, meeting room preparation, researching and booking event space and catering, basic Health & Safety awareness, liaising with contractors
  • Entry level theatrical production support – likely to include: audition and casting, rehearsal set up, press nights and gifts, event management, show programmes, accommodation and travel booking
  • Entry level theatrical marketing support – likely to include: proofing, print ordering and shipment, research as required




  • Provide administrative support to the Office Manager and Chief Operating Officer to ensure smooth day to day running of office and organisation
  • Work to improve, and where required, create systems and administrative processes to enhance the efficiency of the office
  • Answer phone and general email enquires, distribute and send all post
  • Manage the House Seat Bookings for SIX the Musical
  • Act as runner for the office, production and marketing teams and provide additional support to these departments as required

Office support

  • Be first point of contact for any issues related to office functionality, managing and resolving issues as they arise, escalating matters where necessary
  • Liaise with IT, communications & photocopier companies as required
  • Log all office faults and required maintenance work
  • Receive and organise all office deliveries
  • Meet and greet all guests
  • Monitor and order office supplies
  • Manage meeting room diaries
  • Support the Office Manager in the administration of service agreements, maintenance contracts and operation contracts including refuse/recycling and utilities
  • Update Company Website as required
  • Organise all routine inspections e.g Gas and Fire Safety
  • Be office point of contact for regular freelancers/producing partners etc within the office
  • Organise office events as required


Knowledge, skills, experience

  • Proven interest in theatre
  • A desire to develop your administrative skills in an office environment 
  • Highly organised
  • Excellent communication skills and telephone manner
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Flexibility, reliability, enthusiasm and a friendly ‘can do’ attitude
