Jumpstart your marketing career with this exciting six-month internship you will spend gaining experience in outdoor advertising.

Talon is the UK’s only independently-owned Out of Home media specialist. They have ambitious growth plans, without compromising the vision of providing exceptional client service, independent advice and strategic expertise. They aim to be different, taking a data-led approach to planning and buying and to embrace technology at every turn.

Within this entry-level role, you will rotate around two departments supporting the executives and wider team, to get a firm understanding of the planning and marketing process behind Out of Home advertising, along with the chance to gain invaluable media experience. You will be able to benefit from bespoke on-the-job learning and training offered by the company. The teams will be as follows: 

  • UK Planning. The UK Planning teams includes a range of teams you will be able to support and deliver on all planning functions, working hand in hand with the Planning & Client Teams.
  • Marketing. The Marketing team is responsible for capturing the attention of the target market. Generating new business leads by setting out a clear and compelling service offering via all marketing channels. Growing existing accounts’ spend through engagement and service promotion and promoting clear communication within the teams and offices.


Key activities

  • Proactively liaise with your team to ensure all tasks are completed in the correct time frame
  • Be able to assist each department within the criteria they set
  • Develop an understanding and utilisation of all tools and systems e.g. Plato, Ada, Atlas, etc
  • Assist with projects and any tasks requested by team members
  • Support teams with admin / documentation / correspondence / presentations (ad hoc)
  • Support teams with diary/meeting coordination and resolve scheduling conflicts
  • Demonstrate proper care and respect for corporate assets
  • Comply with all company and departmental policies and procedures
  • Develop and grow industry knowledge through attendance of internal training programmes
  • Work to embody the Talon values and behaviours to maintain the best possible culture throughout Talon
  • Participate in projects and initiatives which drive Talon’s commitment to positive social and environmental causes. E.g., charity partnerships, volunteering, carbon offsetting, etc.
