This opportunity is a 12-month contract aimed at skilling up and providing a valuable entry point into a career in the arts, arts administration, film, games and/or television.
Through the course of the contract, BAFTA interns will work with two departments within the organisation, spending six months with each department. The BAFTA departments taking part in the internship scheme are: learning, inclusion and talent, events, partnerships and fundraising; PR and communications, albert (sustainability) and production.

What you will learn
PR & comms
Assisting the PR and Communications team with all year round communications activity for BAFTA. Including consumer facing campaigns for BAFTA’s film, games and television awards, year-round initiatives including Breakthrough and Elevate, as well as corporate communications activity and internal comms. This role will report to the Executive Director of PR and Communications, but work to support senior teams across the Communications, Digital Content and Marketing teams on a project basis.
Learning, inclusion & talent
Gain valuable insight into learning and inclusion practices in film, TV and games industry, as well as talent development initiatives. Understand the talent pipeline and how interventions and networking can support the people through their career. Gain insight into BAFTA’s four key audiences: children and young people; new entrants; new talent and industry.
General event logistics assistance in the production of the BAFTA Award ceremonies. You'll demonstrate excellent organisational skills, be a clear and concise communicator and have an interest in event management with a keen eye for detail. You will need to be self-motivated and hardworking, proactive and able to learn quickly on the job and work to tight deadlines.
Gaining an insight into the exposure to working in film/TV production departments and the growth of being more environmentally sustainable. Undertake administrative tasks to support the Director of albert and wider project objectives, including diary management, writing minutes, and sending out briefing materials. Support in managining the albert inbox, directing correspondence to the relevant member of the team and liaising with production teams regarding their use of albert tools and resources. Carry out evidence-checking assessments for albert sustainable production certification.
Partnerships & fundraising
Assisting the partnerships team during BAFTA’s busy Awards season and beyond, specifically with the delivery of key activity including the Style Suites and industry partnerships. The internship is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience of BAFTA’s work and to learn how large-scale partnerships are delivered. You will support the wider partnerships and fundraising team in day-to-day administrative duties during this busy and exciting period.
The individual they are looking for needs to demonstrate excellent organisational skills, be a clear and concise communicator and have an interest in production, with a keen eye for detail. They will need to be self-motivated and able to learn quickly on the job. The role will require working across four award ceremonies and supporting the production team.
