
Public relations executive

The PR executive role is a key position in the team, leading on selected activity and supporting senior team members on large scale global campaigns.
The job:
- Working on priority PR campaigns for programming across a wide and varied slate with BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Sky, HBO, Amazon Prime Video and Disney +
- Work as part of a team on priority campaigns managing individual aspects of an overall campaign (media relations, press events or creative executions) and take the lead on publicising shows
- Proactive pitching to media to place interviews, stories, images and clips around campaigns, with a particular focus on digital-first thinking
- Media liaison – nurturing and building on an already strong list of contacts, particularly within digital/social outlet space
- Build an understanding of a broad range of media outlets - traditional, digital and social first - including entertainment and other media to identify PR opportunities
- Event management including media days, press events, talent management, travel coordination etc
- Writing press releases, media alerts, programme information and other press materials as needed to the highest standard, researching and fact checking information as required
- Helping to generate creative ideas within the wider team
- Managing media interviews and chaperoning press and talent as required
- Ensuring that press updates are delivered to the wider team and key clients
What you will bring to this role:
- A highly motivated individual with a proven passion and flair for PR and the media, as well as a strong passion for TV
- Understanding of PR and previous knowledge of working on PR campaigns
- Excellent personal and written communication skills and a passion for great creative and editorial writing
- Extensive experience of pitching to journalists, an instinct for what makes a story and building and maintaining key relationships with an excellent network of print, broadcast and online contacts
- Strong understanding of print, broadcast, online and social media, and an understanding of the changing media landscape, with a focus on digital media
- Experience in implementing effective PR campaigns and the ability to take initiative and work under pressure in a busy and fast paced environment - excellent planning skills with the ability to prioritise and work across multiple projects
- Understanding of picture publicity and able to to come up with creative ideas and be able to work with photographers and designers
- Experience of crisis management, and an understanding of the role of PR within issues management

Our London office is 2-minute walk from Tottenham Court Road tube station in Covent Garden / Soho
(We also have a Welsh office in Cardiff city centre.)
