Develop your skills in and knowledge of publishing sales as an assistant with this illustrated book publisher based in Suffolk.

Gemini Books makes beautiful, illustrated books for children and adults that spark readers' imaginations. From original graphic novels to engaging activity books that nurture emotional intelligence, we create books that you and your family will want to spend time with.

As part of the sales team, you will play a role in ensuring that the sales teams are supported in their roles.  You will interact with every department within Gemini Books to ensure that we are all fully prepared for customer presentations and follow ups post meeting. 

The sales team put the customer at the centre of everything we do.  Every communication with a customer forms a touch point. All of which form part of the experience of working with Gemini – we want that to be the best experience within the publishing industry.

 

Responsibilities

  • Meeting preparation
  • Meeting follow up
  • Key administrative tasks
  • Supporting Sales reps with sales materials, sales samples and presentations/
  • Completing customer submission grids
  • Creating monthly sales reports and quarterly commission reports
  • Sending samples and PDF’s to customers
  • Dealing with occasional customer enquiries and complaints
  • Answer occasional phone calls
  • Sign for reception deliveries
  • Greet any customers and visitors to the office
  • Distribute post as and when required.
     

Knowledge, skills and experience

  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written and attention to detail
  • Flexible and able to adapt to busy periods with a proactive and positive attitude
  • Self-motivated and ability to use initiative
  • Ambitious and keen to learn
  • A professional attitude towards business practise.
