We are seeking a highly motivated, super organised and creative Social Media Account Manager to join our team.

Renowned communications agency, Splendid Communications, is looking for a talented Social Media Account Manager to join its team of social media experts, working across award-winning, high-profile FMCG and travel brands.

The ideal candidate will have solid (3 years+) social media management experience, preferably gleaned in a busy fast paced agency environment. As an agency we’re dedicated to delivering innovative and integrated PR and social media campaigns that resonate with audiences and drive results for our clients.

As a member of our digital and social media team, you’ll have a tangible understanding and enthusiasm for social media platforms and the content that flies in these spaces with the ability to demonstrate knowledge and provide consultancy to clients on platform strategy, content and amplification approaches.

You’ll be the linchpin in a mid-size team which includes creative internal studio team, hungry junior team and commercially focused senior strategists, confidently capable of developing less experienced team members and provide a safe pair of hands to deliver projects to deadlines, within budget and to meet KPIS.


You will be able to:

  • Develop relationships with key clients and be the day-to-day liaison, building trust and immersing yourself in our client's values
  • Manage a talented junior team with senior support, driving everyone in the same direction to deliver great work, on time, in budget and to meet KPI expectations
  • Organise and manage multiple work streams, developing campaign timelines and working within carefully crafted process frameworks to ensure work is delivered to a high standard on time, every time
  • Dive into the creative process, producing top-notch content that tells a story and delivers key messaging in an engaging and relevant way. From captivating copy and insightful concepts you’ll be well versed in producing stand out content calendars for brand channels which drive reach and resonance with target audiences
  • Co-ordinate static and motion content creation working with Splendid’s in-house studio and appropriate freelancers where required. You’ll also plan and execute photo shoots that accurately reflect brand guidelines.
  • Oversee community management for client social channels, ensuring brand TOV is consistent and impactful and crisis and issues are escalated and managed effectively
  • Own influencer campaigns from start to finish, from identifying the perfect partners to negotiating the terms, facilitating content creation and approvals, and providing detailed performance reports.
  • Develop robust campaign plans, complete with accurate budgets and scopes of work.
  • Cultivate relationships with third-party suppliers, managing external production and edit briefs where relevant
  • Plan and execute paid social media ad campaigns using Meta Business manager, optimising to deliver best ROI.
  • Troubleshoot campaign hiccups with calm and clarity, providing detailed reports and recommendations to ensure campaigns stay on track
