The Young Vic is looking for a studio technician to join our production department.

A registered charity and theatrical powerhouse, the Young Vic is synonymous with innovation, inclusivity, accessibility and creativity.

We create performances that catalyse debate and are priced accessibly for our audiences, giving 10% of tickets away to those who experience barriers to engaging with the arts. We are deeply rooted in our local communities of Lambeth and Southwark, through Taking Part, at the same time as being internationally recognised for productions made with the world’s finest performers and creative teams. This year we expanded our access and reach by launching Best Seat in the House, a new livestreaming platform that has broadcast our productions to over 38 countries. We are also proud of our work developing the next generation of emerging talent through our Creators Program.


About the role

The studio technician, working alongside the production manager (Studios) and wider Production department, delivery of technical requirements for Young Vic Productions and related projects in the Clare and Maria studios, working directly with the Taking Part department, the Creators Program and Young Vic producers. We are looking for someone who has an understanding of theatre production techniques, including stage, lighting and sound as well as an ability to communicate with a wide range of lived experiences.
