This is an opportunity for a creative, motivated marketer to join a vibrant and iconic media brand.

Beano is one of the nation's most loved and iconic brands. First hitting the newsstand in 1938, it is now an ever-evolving kids' media brand with an award-winning digital network, a growing comic, a thriving IP (intellectual property) business and an exciting new kids and family insights agency. Reporting directly to the Director of Brand Marketing and Communications, the Trade Marketing Manager will drive the annual trade marketing calendar for Beano Studios' professional services.

The Trade Marketing Manager will take the lead in telling our professional services' stories across channels, so our commercial teams can engage with potential new customers and build on existing relationships. You will be part of a small brand marketing team, working closely with the professional services teams to lead on trade marketing campaigns and event work, as well as planning and executing a digital presence for those businesses.



  • Develop and execute all trade marketing campaigns to generate new business leads
  • Own and deliver the trade marketing calendar for all business, delivering PR moments, events and regular newsletters to ensure Beano Studios' professional services stay front of mind for clients
  • Draft press releases and own relationships with key trade media to build awareness of professional services
  • Develop and execute content plans for trade social media accounts and newsletters to generate awareness of new deals and product launches
  • Own the awards calendar for all professional services, leading the research of and submissions to awards and conferences
  • Develop and run all internal speaker events & submit and brief speakers for external events and conferences and assist in the development of all promotional materials and presentations
  • Support on drafting key business reports, white papers and award submissions
  • Assist in the creation of all creds and sales decks for professional services
  • Responsible for management of the trade marketing budget
  • Responsible for the development and maintenance of Beano Studios and Beano Brain websites
  • Support and attendance at key brand and partner events



Knowledge, skills, experience

  • Media contacts across advertising and media trade publications
  • Demonstrable experience of trade marketing and events
  • A creative thinker who constantly brings new ideas to the table
  • A confident and experienced writer with an editorial mindset
  • A strong, clear, calm and consistent communicator – verbally, visually and in writing
  • Adept at building productive cross-functional relationships
