DesignScene are looking for an enthusiastic and creative individual to join their team as a trainee 2D designer, who will support the studio team on a wide range of design projects. DesignScene is a boutique network with global reach. Key activities

Design & Illustration:

  • Assisting in creating 2D artwork, assets, and layouts for digital or print media.
  • Developing concept sketches, storyboards, and mock-ups.
  • Refining and finalising designs based on feedback.

Software & Tools:

  • Using design software like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and keynote
  • Learning and applying industry-standard design techniques.
  • Organising and managing design files efficiently.

Collaboration & Communication:

  • Working closely with senior designers, animators, and project managers.
  • Understanding project briefs and meeting design requirements.
  • Receiving and implementing feedback to improve designs.

Learning & Development:

  • Gaining knowledge of design principles, color theory, and typography.
  • Keeping up with design trends and industry best practices.
  • Participating in training sessions and workshops to enhance skills.


What you will learn

  • How to assemble keynote presentations
    Create and design print and digital materials
    Retouch and manipulate images, produce mockups
  • Use graphic design software and work with a wide variety of media
  • Work with the studio team to create high quality design output
  • Positively receive guidance and feedback from design agency professionals
  • Production of work in a timely fashion and to pre set deadlines


Knowledge, skills and experience

  • Basic knowledge of layouts, typography, line composition, colour, and other graphic design fundamentals
  • Experience with InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Keynote
  • Strong creative and analytical skills
  • Attention to detail with an ability to refine designs and ensure accuracy in artwork
  • Compelling portfolio of graphic design work
  • Graphic design qualifications are desirable but not essential
  • Able to think outside the box and generate original ideas
  • Ability to manage your time to meet deadlines and work efficiently across multiple projects
  • Strong communication skills, with a willingness to take feedback, collaborate with teams and present ideas clearly.
