Closing date: 26th April 2024Salary: £12.32 per hour We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our busy, friendly Community and Engage team on a casual basis.Mayflower Theatre is the largest independent not for profit theatre in the south of the UK and we present a wide range of shows including large scale musicals, opera and dance.MAST is a multi-art form venue presenting and producing theatre, dance, music, comedy, spoken word and family shows. We work with the best touring companies and local artists to present a diverse, vibrant, high-quality artistic programme, alongside our own MAST productions and co-productions.As a youth and community assistant, you will be part of a team to help support some of our projects and activities such as; the Summer Youth Project, Christmas Youth Production, Youth Theatre Performances, Family Fun Days and other activities throughout the year. This year, our Summer Youth Project is Bugsy Malone and our Christmas Youth Production is A Wind in the Willows.Our Summer Youth Project has a cast of over 150 young people aged 11-18 and takes place over 2 weeks in August culminating in performances on our main stage at Mayflower Theatre. The Christmas Youth Production. It takes place in studio 1 in MAST Mayflower Studios and hosts a cast of around 50 young performers.
