The Theatre’s aim is to bring a diverse range of shows to Southampton. We present a mixture of spectacular touring productions, from musicals to dance, opera, drama, ballet and comedy. MAST Mayflower Studios is a cultural and community hub. Collectively we provide Inspiring Experiences to all who engage with each venue. As Youth Projects Programme Lead, you will coordinate our Summer Youth Project at Mayflower Theatre and our Christmas Youth production at MAST Mayflower Studios. You will also coordinate our Actor Training Scheme Elevate Ensemble. <ul><li>Summer Youth Project &amp; Christmas Youth Production: We stage two large scale youth productions a year. Our Summer Youth Project takes place on our Mayflower Theatre stage each summer and hosts a cast of up to 150 young performers from across Hampshire. Our Christmas Youth Production takes place in studio 1 in MAST Mayflower Studios and hosts a cast of 50 young performers. Both productions are musical theatre and involve a professional creative team.</li><li>The Elevate Ensemble – Youth Training: The Elevate Ensemble is our Youth Actor Training initiative. We will take up to 15 young people (16 – 25yrs) who are underrepresented in the industry on a part time free actor training programme, which provides comprehensive pathways to drama school training. </li></ul>We are searching for someone with a "can-do" attitude and the ability to work well under pressure to provide administrative support; organise and support youth projects in the Engage department; and supportive creatives in delivering large scale youth theatre productions at our venues.  Knowledge, skills and experience<ul><li>Educated to a degree level in drama, performing arts or an arts-based subject or equivalent qualification or experience</li><li>Experience of managing programmes with young people</li><li>Ability to manage multiple projects at one time and work to strict deadlines</li><li>A robust understanding of the theatre production process</li><li>Previous experience of administering and co-ordinating arts-based projects</li><li>Excellent communication skills </li><li>Ability to work under pressure</li><li>Be a self-starter and independent worker, whilst also working well within small teams</li><li>Maintain a flexible approach and be an independent problem solver</li><li>Be skilled in Microsoft Packages inc.
