DDA performs a wide spectrum of media relations, publicity, event management (through DDA Event Management) and marketing tasks, either globally or targeted to specific international markets. Festival and market experiences include the Sundance, Berlin, SXSW, Tribeca, Cannes, Venice, Telluride, Toronto, London and Red Sea film festivals (among others).
As an Account Executive, you are an ambitious and proactive member of the Series Awards team and are responsible for assisting the team as directed in all aspects of client servicing, events and administrative tasks. You will play a vital role in the tasks that run the series accounts such as maintaining the awards calendar, shortlisting and servicing submissions across all series titles. You’ll be in contact with the heads of department and production representatives on behalf of clients.
You’ll also be growing relationships with Awards bodies as well as liaising with clients as and when needed. You’ll work closely with the Account Managers on the day-to-day tasks for the series accounts team ensuring that all tasks are completed to the highest level. You will grow and develop quickly to take on bigger projects to support the team further as your industry knowledge and skillset intensifies. Additionally, you will gain an understanding of the Awards landscape and have a thirst to learn more on developing strategic Series Awards campaigns.
Key responsibilities
Client Relationships
- Assisting the team as directed in all aspects of client servicing
- Keeping in contact with the client at all stages of the submissions and campaign activity
- Assist on-site at awards screenings, events, Q&A’s, and receptions over the season and helping with talent logistics Assist team in developing creative strategy for Awards titles
- Being key point of contact for HODs to collate submission materials
- Attending client meetings and sharing knowledge
Strategy and Commercial Awareness
- Track and monitor UK TV programming by keeping up to date with content, scheduling and the UK television industry landscape
- Track publicity items in newspapers/trades/etc.; follow and review industry news and trade press daily
- Tracking social media content streams and trends
- Developing connections with key trade journalists and media sources, contacting the press over the phone and via email
Delivery
- Creating and managing databases, media lists and editorial calendars
- Managing and maintaining upkeep of all awards analysis documents
- Managing and maintaining all reporting documents for the client
- Managing talent logistics for Q&As, events, award ceremonies etc. and creating appropriate schedules containing information required
- Generate press clippings for awards clients
- Drafting attendance and feedback reports following screenings and Q&As
- You will take on smaller projects, which you will manage end to end with the support of more experienced colleagues

Knowledge, skills and experience
- Previous experience in working in a fast-paced environment
- Experienced in assisting and supporting a wider team
- Ability to multi-task and stay organized to meet multiple deadlines across a variety of projects
- A team player, willing to share knowledge and discuss approaches and tactics but also able to work independently
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Pro-active & intuitive
- Self-motivated, a self-starter who takes initiative and follows through
- Eagerness and willingness to learn, and a can-do attitude to apply to difficult challenges and tasks
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
- A desire to progress and enthusiasm for new challenges
- Good analytical skills and can pull out key learnings and trends for reporting
- Proficient in / working knowledge of Google Documents, Google Sheets, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and internet research
