This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, creative and organised individual with an interest in marketing to schools, teachers and professionals.

Bloomsbury Publishing is looking for a dynamic, creative and highly organised Campaigns / Senior Campaigns Executive to join the bright and innovative team working on education titles across Early Years, Primary and Secondary markets. 

Working closely with Editorial and Sales, you will be responsible for implementing high impact and strategic campaigns across a range of titles and brands which utilise the whole breadth of marketing.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about children’s learning, have a good understanding of the education landscape and knowledge of how to reach different audiences through multi-platform campaigns. With an eye for copy and eye-catching creative, you will be able to work confidently with internal and external stakeholders.

Bloomsbury Education publishes an extensive range of books for Early Years, Primary and Secondary to support teachers at every step of their teaching journey. We have the curriculum covered with our classroom resources that make learning more fun, our professional development books that inspire teaching, and our fiction that aims to get children excited about reading.

 

Responsibilities

  • Support, devise and implement high impact and creative campaigns to market specific titles, series and authors (print and digital) to schools, teachers and parents
  • Create engaging creatives and POS for campaigns including social assets, adverts, activity sheets, presenters and more
  • Effectively communicate marketing materials and campaign elements to all key stakeholders, both internal and external
  • Update Amazon Stores and product pages with relevant assets such as A+ pages and Amazon Brand Stories and manage advertising for campaigns
  • Assist with running of social channels (alongside the Education Campaigns Assistant) and create engaging and shareworthy content for social media including the Bloomsbury Education TikTok
  • Pitch authors for relevant publicity opportunities including press, events and festivals
  • Coordinate publisher presence at conferences and exhibitions throughout the year and attend events
  • Deliver all marketing components and initiatives within agreed timelines and to budget
  • Support the Campaigns Assistant in the production of two digital Education catalogues
  • Proactively identify and build partnerships for key titles, brands and authors
  • Stay informed about new marketing insights, developments and opportunities
  • Support the Senior Marketing Manager with overall strategy for the list
  • Undertake selected marketing admin duties

At Senior Campaigns Executive level, the role will undertake the tasks below as well as having the opportunity to manage lead campaigns, support in managing the Campaigns Assistant, leading on areas of the overall strategy and deputising at meetings where necessary.

 

Knowledge, skills and experience

  • Marketing professional with demonstrated marketing experience
  • Previous experience in a book publishing role with knowledge of children’s books (specifically Education) is desirable but not essential
  • Excellent organisational skills, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritise a busy workload essential
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines where needed
  • Confident verbal and written communication skills required
  • Strong relationship building skills, internally and externally
  • Highly creative with a strong eye for design
  • Passionate about marketing and children’s education books
  • Strong copywriting and copyediting skills alongside great attention to detail
  • Team player but also able to proactively act on own initiative

 

Additional information

The role is based at our London office 50 Bedford Square, London, WC1B 3DP on a hybrid-working pattern of 2 days office based / 3 days home based (or fully office based if preferred). Allocated office days for this role are: Monday and Tuesday
