This is a great opportunity to learn about children’s publishing from within a leading independent house.

Faber is a leading independent literary publisher. We publish a diverse range of high-profile authors such as Kazuo Ishiguro, Sally Rooney, Sebastian Barry, Lenny Henry, and we have a backlist containing the works of T. S. Eliot, Seamus Heaney, Sylvia Plath and William Golding, among many others. Faber is also a supplier of sales and distribution services to independent publishers and has a market-leading creative writing school.

The Faber Children’s team is recruiting a Communications Assistant to join our small, vibrant, award-winning department, home to authors and illustrators such as Emma Carroll, Jason Reynolds, Moira Buffini, Chris Mould and Jim Smith. Faber Children’s are also co-founders of the FAB Prize for undiscovered authors and illustrators from underrepresented backgrounds.

Working closely with the Children’s team, the Communications Assistant will provide general administrative and organisational support with a focus on publicity campaigns and social media. The role reports to the Children's Publicity Manager.

This is a role for a creative and organised person with a love of children’s books and an interest in publishing and connecting books to readers. Admin experience is essential and a demonstrable passion and aptitude for social media would be an advantage.
