This internship – aimed at undergraduate students of Black heritage in the digital marketing industry who plan to graduate in Spring/Summer 2026 – is an incredible opportunity to develop your understanding of digital marketing while gaining hands-on experience.

The FRWD Black Heritage Internship program was launched in 2021 to provide exposure to digital marketing experience undergraduate students whose backgrounds are often under-represented in the profession. This exciting 10-week paid programme sits within the specialist digital marketing division and is designed to give you the opportunity to sharpen your business and leadership skillset alongside getting first hand experience of how the FRWD team works with clients to build digital marketing capabilities.
Who you'll work with
During this experience you will have to opportunity to work alongside the FRWD team, getting an in depth understanding to how the organisation helps companies improve their marketing investment and build creative solutions that have real impact on clients. You will see how a specialist team supports creative, media optimisation, data science and cutting edge advertising technology initiatives. FRWD is a specialist division that works in partnership with Bain consultants to bridge the gap between brand, strategy and real time marketing tests.
What you'll be doing
In 10 exciting weeks you’ll be in the thick of it: working alongside the FRWD team and Bain consultants tackling complex client questions. Every day will be different, but with the support of the team here are some of the areas you can expect to accomplish:
- Learn how the worlds of digital marketing and consulting operate and how out Bain and FRWD teams deliver for clients
- Learn about digital marketing practices, tools and strategies with hands on experience to implement real client learnings
- Work with FRWD team members to understand key insights from client project and support on producing most relevant content
- Develop professional standards and industry experience working in a top management consultancy firm
- Complete an industry learning program designed for interns
- You will also be paired with a mentor from the Black at Bain affinity group & join social events with the wider BAB community.
