Love comedy and looking to experience the Edinburgh Fringe Festival for the month of August?

Avalon is a multi-award-winning international talent management, television production and live promotion group. We represent over 100 acts and have promoted Fringe shows and tours for acts including Rose Matafeo, Phil Wang, Frank Skinner, Ed Gamble, Russell Howard, Flo & Joan, Lou Sanders and many more. Avalon’s full roster of artists can be viewed on our website www.avalonuk.com

Beyond live, Avalon is best known for producing shows including Taskmaster (C4), Last Week Tonight with John Oliver (HBO), Starstruck (BBC/HBO) and the hit West-End musical Operation Mincemeat.

As part of our dedicated Edinburgh street-team you will be invited to work alongside our permanent team promoting our 2026 roster of Edinburgh shows at the festival. This will involve seeing the shows, meeting the artists and selling the shows throughout the world’s largest and most exciting arts festival.

Most people working in the comedy industry started their careers at the Festival and we are keen to meet the next generation of brilliant talent. If you’re passionate about comedy, are great at talking to people, and keen to experience the behind the scenes of the Edinburgh Fringe, we’d love to hear from you.

Role requirements:

  • A keen interest in comedy
  • A personable individual, who is comfortable speaking to groups and has excellent presentation skills
  • An enthusiastic and resilient individual prepared for a busy month working across many shows. Whilst the festival is a fun and exciting place full of opportunity, it does involve long hours and not much time off.

Benefits:

  • Free entry to all our shows across various venues (subject to availability)
  • Discount at venue food stalls and bars
  • Staff social events
  • An insight into many areas of the live entertainment industry such as;
  1. Talent Management
  2. Press
  3. Print and Digital Marketing
  • Working with an industry-leading management international production company. Many current employees at Avalon started in Edinburgh street teams.

Terms of employment:

  • Travel to and from Edinburgh will be covered by Avalon
  • One day off per week from the second week
  • Daily hours vary. Ideally candidates will also attend some previews in London in advance of travelling to Edinburgh.
  • Please note that you will be responsible for your accommodation – this is not something we provide.
