We are looking for a passionate lover of events to join the Premier Events department; someone who can confidently lead on their own projects, work within a team, and successfully produce or help produce a large scale event from conception, budgeting, development to management onsite at the live event.
Key tasks
Projects
- Devise and deliver creative and detailed event ideas inspired by the films we are working on
- Help produce visual presentations (powerpoint, google slides, inDesign) to illustrate ideas.
- Be confident briefing visualisers and graphic designers to bring your ideas to life
- Feel comfortable and confident pitching and explaining ideas to clients - translating their brief into something you can tangibly produce in order to realise their objectives for the event or activation
- Manage all event logistics inc permits, cost negotiation & venue suggestions
- Create line item accurate budgets to be signed off by clients and managed throughout the project including reconciliation post event
- Raise POs for supplier invoicing and be responsible for billing clients post event in a timely fashion
- Write detailed event timing structures and liaise with all stakeholders to ensure structures are adhered to
- Have strong & proven project management skills - ideally in an agency environment
- Manage day-to-day running of multiple ongoing projects, aiming to fulfil the agreed client brief
- Utilise excellent time management skills to ensure production deadlines are met and all aspects of the event are given due time and attention
- Organise and manage all on site, in person and online meetings relating to your projects
- Be able to proactively manage suppliers on site and run and event through its course.
- Work within a close knit team as well as independently
- Offer input into other team members’ projects
- Plan larger scale projects alongside other team members
- Keep the department head informed of all project work and development.
- Possess excellent communication skills and act as both internal and external point of contact on assigned projects
- Develop close supplier relations in order to understand and suggest services to clients
- Work alongside and develop good relations with other agencies working on the same events & campaigns
- Possess and continue to develop excellent film, entertainment, venue, cultural and event knowledge.
- Seek out and monitor developments within events and entertainment in order to keep developing fresh ideas
Events team general
- Cover team members’ absences as appropriate
- Contribute to departmental brainstorms
- Support red carpet events the team are handling
Knowledge, skills and experience
- Event experience in an agency and/or entertainment field.
- Creative thought, mathematical aptitude and focused attention to detail.
- An ability to juggle multiple projects when under pressure and scrutiny
- A fast thinking ability to pivot when circumstances change
- An open attitude to working unusual hours during events
