As a finance intern at Fane Group, you’ll gain hands-on experience in the financial operations of a live events company. You’ll support budgeting, reporting, and financial planning for events, tours, and partnerships, while learning how finance intersects with creative production. You’ll also play a key role in helping implement a new finance system to improve efficiency and scalability.
Key activities
- Assist in preparing budgets for live events and tours
- Track actual costs vs. projected budgets and flag variances
- Help compile weekly and monthly financial reports
- Support analysis of ticket sales, venue costs, and artist fees
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable, as well as invoice processing
- Reconcile bank statements and event-related transactions
- Support the rollout of a new finance system (e.g., data migration, testing, documentation)
- Help train staff and troubleshoot issues during the transition
- Collaborate with the finance and technology teams to ensure a smooth integration
- Maintain organised financial records and assist with audit preparation
- Support the finance team with ad hoc tasks and reporting needs
- Work with production, marketing, and ticketing teams to gather financial data
- Help ensure financial accuracy across departments

What we are looking for
- Currently pursuing a degree or at the start of a career in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field
- Strong Excel skills
- An interest in the arts, live events, or cultural programming
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
