Learn about how arts projects are made and delivered to audiences in this part-time internship with a company creating projects at the intersection of animation, film and art.

Animate champions experiment in animation. Our mission is to engage the public with the creativity and craft of the artform. We do this through developing new work, supporting artists to create thought provoking projects, engaging with audiences across digital and physical contexts, and promoting critical debate.

You will gain a greater understanding of the distribution networks for short film and animation, practical experience in using marketing tools to promote professional work and build audiences, and the opportunity to learn about the process of producing short animation first-hand. There may be opportunity to attend live events.

Responsibilities

You will provide support to the producers with project administration and with the marketing and distribution of projects. Projects you will be involved with include our Arts Council England supported MORTAL commissions for early career artists, our Accelerate Sessions online webinars, Maryam Mohajer’s BFI backed film And Granny Would Dance, and Qianhui Yu’s BFI NETWORK supported short Statue in the Garden.

The role includes:

  • Managing film festival distribution, maintaining spreadsheets, using online submission platforms, liaising with festival contacts
