Simon & Schuster Children’s Books is home to bestsellers, award-winners and quality commercial picture books, middle grade and YA. We have an exciting vacancy for a marketing professional with a proven track record to join our creative and dynamic team. Reporting to the Marketing & Publicity Director, you will work across the Simon & Schuster Children’s Books publishing list.

You will have responsibility for developing, coordinating, and managing your own titles marketing across a range of genres, working closely with the publicity, editorial, design and sales teams to create imaginative, effective and integrated campaigns. You will plan and deliver creative consumer campaigns utilising the full marketing mix, working with media buyers and owners, ensuring critical paths are met, budgets are managed, and the highest level of author and illustrator care is provided.

Together with the Marketing & PR team, you will collaborate with global S&S marketers to ensure we implement global strategies for shared authors and build new trade and consumer partnerships and relationships.

 

What we're looking for

  • A talented individual who is able to demonstrate strong marketing skills and an excellent understanding of book publishing. 
  • You will have a flair for writing great copy, a keen eye for design, and the ability to deliver impactful, creative campaigns across all media. 
  • You will have experience of multi-channel and multi-platform campaigns that create market cut-through. 
  • The chosen candidate will display strategic thinking and consumer awareness.
  • With the ability to juggle multiple projects and competing priorities, an excellent eye for detail, you will be a great team player and communicator. 
  • You will be excited about bringing passion and new ideas to our marketing activities.
