We are currently looking for a Membership Marketing Manager to join our Audience Insights team on a full time contract. The Membership Marketing Manager is part of the Audience Insights & Engagement team within the larger Audiences Division. This is a pivotal role for a commercially astute, data-driven marketer who is passionate about audience loyalty. You are adept at translating complex data (from CRM, GA4, etc.) into compelling communication strategies that maximise retention, drive recruitment, and deliver significant financial growth for the Southbank Centre. Your compelling communication skills and leadership will ensure effective briefing and collaboration across all internal and external teams. You will be instrumental in achieving our ambitious membership growth target.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive significant growth in the Southbank Centre’s Membership pool and income (mentions Membership and Marketing Campaigns)
  • Analyse data regularly to inform membership marketing campaigns and identify trends using tools such as GA4 and the CRM system, Tessitura (data analysis)
  • Implement an effective eCRM plan and compelling Member communications, utilising segmentation across the Membership lifecycle to drive benefit usage and retention (eCRM/ CRM systems)
  • Champion Membership as the central point of contact across the organisation, representing and reporting on Member needs and interests to wider colleagues (Leadership/ Collaboration)
  • Devise and deliver Member recruitment marketing strategies to achieve ambitious targets (Digital Marketing: Arts & culture, Membership or charity)


Skills & Experience

  • Demonstrable experience of devising, implementing and managing successful marketing strategy and campaigns, within the arts & cultural sector, a membership organisation or charity
  • Proven technical capability in the use of CRM systems with analysis, segmentation, automation and communications function.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with high levels of diplomacy, confidently and efficiently communicating at all levels to negotiate and network effectively, internally and externally
  • An ability to query report and analyse complex data from a range of sources and demonstrable experience of successfully using audience insight and data to inform strategy and planning


The annual salary stated is based on the Full-Time Equivalent (40 hours per week). If the job is part-time, the weekly hours will be stated within the advert.
