Do you care about climate and social justice? Learn how to build campaigns and shape policy to create real-world impact.
Seahorse Environmental is a fast-growing, award-winning communications consultancy tackling climate change, protecting nature, and accelerating the energy transition. We work across renewable energy, climate tech, nature restoration and environmental justice – building campaigns, shaping policy, and telling powerful stories about the challenges and solutions we face. We’ve worked with organisations like WWF, Octopus Energy, River Action and the OVO Foundation to create real-world change on the journey to a net-zero, nature-positive future.
If you care about climate, renewable energy, nature, and social justice – but aren’t sure how to break into the sector – this is for you. This six-month paid placement comes with full support, training, and a clear pathway into a permanent role. We’re not looking for a “perfect” CV – we want people who are passionate, eager to learn, and committed to making change happen. This opportunity is especially aimed at individuals from underrepresented backgrounds, including those without prior experience in politics, environment, or communications.

Who we're looking for
Someone who:

- Is interested in politics, climate, or environmental change
- Communicates clearly and respectfully (written and verbal, including on social media)
- Works well in a team and asks questions when unsure
- Has strong research and writing skills, and can summarise complex information
- Is motivated to build a network in the environmental sector
- Manages tasks responsibly and follows through
- Brings a unique perspective or lived experience
- Is a self-starter who can juggle different projects
