Mother is an independent creative company based in London. The Romans is a PR agency founded in 2015 and backed by Mother. The Romans team have worked with some of the world's most exciting brands and created the most innovative and awarded earned media campaigns of recent years. The Runner position at The Romans provides an alternative route into the PR industry for anyone with a keen interest, regardless of their experience. As a runner, you will run and manage our third-floor office space, ensuring that every person who comes through our doors - our team, clients and guests - enjoys a first-class Romans experience. It’s an extremely hands-on role, requiring energy, passion, organisation and resilience to juggle the wide variety of tasks and responsibilities in a fun, fast-paced environment.
Throughout the 12-month placement, you’ll build foundational skills key to all roles within the PR industry(collaboration, communication, time management), whilst also gaining invaluable exposure to client work and creative processes. You’ll benefit from regular training sessions and intros to all departments (Creative, Account Management, Strategy & Production), learning what they do, building relationships with people at all levels across the agency, and hopefully sussing out which job role(s) align with your individual attributes and passions.
After completing the 12-month programme you’ll be given the opportunity to do a 2-month PR placement at the agency, providing the perfect springboard for a career into PR. No previous experience is needed, just a positive ‘can do’ attitude, a lack of ego and willingness to get your hands dirty, and the passion to start from the bottom to kick-start a successful career within the creative industries.
