Location: The role will be based at our London office, with a blend of in-office (3 days) and homeworking (2 days) per week.

Headline Publishing Group is looking for an experienced PR professional with experience working on a wide variety of fiction and non-fiction titles – from debuts to brands and from celebrity to smart thinking - to join our award-winning Publicity team as Senior Publicity Manager to cover a period of parental leave, beginning in May 2025. 

In this role you will be responsible for leading on and executing top tier PR campaigns for both fiction and non-fiction across a wide range of imprints.  Alongside demonstratable PR experience, the ideal candidate will be extremely efficient, have a broad range of contacts across the media and events, and bring initiative, creativity, and passion to the role. The ability to multi-task, work calmly under pressure and be a strong team player are also vital. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced publicist ready for a new challenge.

Who we are looking for

  • A dynamic Senior Publicity Manager who will be responsible for leading and implementing sales-driving and profile-building publicity campaigns, fully integrating all aspects of the media and incorporating events to positively raise the profile and awareness of the author and book.
  • You will have great knowledge of the market, for both fiction and non-fiction publishing, a sound commercial sense and an understanding of different audiences.
  • You will be highly organised, adaptable, a strategic thinker and be able to think creatively and confidently when planning campaigns.
  • You’ll be required to confidently present plans to colleagues in-house and externally to authors and agents, pitch for new business, regularly updating key stakeholders on progress, as well as offering exceptional author care and maintaining excellent relationships with authors and agents.
  • You will communicate and collaborate effectively with internal departments, including sales and marketing, editorial, rights and international colleagues.
  • You will play a key role in the acquisition of new books, providing feedback on the PR potential, contributing to and attending pitches to acquire new talent.
