We are currently looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and experienced commissioning editor to contribute to the growth of our Academic Philosophy list.&nbsp;Our list publishes over 100 titles a year and&nbsp;comprises&nbsp;of high quality and cutting-edge scholarship alongside texts and resources for students.&nbsp;We publish philosophical traditions from around the world and cater to an&nbsp;audience engaging critically with contemporary thought. This is an excellent opportunity to join our team of editors and play a part in the expansion of our publishing programme.&nbsp;The successful candidate will join a friendly team based in our central London offices. Responsibilities<ul><li>To research new product lines and markets in Ancient and Renaissance philosophy; Ethics and Applied Ethics; Italian philosophy</li><li>To identify, manage and secure new book resources for researchers and students</li><li>Work with authors, volume editors and series editors to ensure a high standard of author care</li><li>Work closely with editorial, marketing, sales, production and digital teams</li></ul> Knowledge, skills and experience<ul><li>A growth mind-set, always seeking opportunities to expand and improve</li><li>Highly organised with the ability to multi-task and prioritise</li><li>Results-oriented and commercially focused and with the ability to develop negotiating skills</li><li>Proven ability to work positively and collaboratively with colleagues, internal stakeholders</li><li>Handles and communicates information sensitively and professionally</li><li>Places a high value on quality of content, author care, company reputation and sustained customer relationships</li><li>Some direct experience of commissioning and managing book projects</li></ul> Additional informationThe role is part-time for 4 days per week and a 12-month fixed-term position starting December 2025.
