Web testing assistant, (FTC), digital marketing & website
This is a great opportunity to get involved in a major e-commerce project, and gain web experience.

We are looking for a web testing assistant for a high-profile, business-critical e-commerce project. The successful candidate will primarily provide testing support on the project, working with colleagues from e-commerce, project office, editorial and marketing to support a timely launch of various websites.
You will learn about web project management and generally gain some very marketable skills.
Main purpose of the role includes:
- To support testing for an e-commerce project
- To support content migration work
Key responsibilities
- Testing of front-end and back-end e-commerce functionality
- Content / content management system (CMS) pages testing
- Write bugs for developers to fix
- Use JIRA software to manage bugs
- Work with the test manager to triage bugs raised by other user acceptance testers
Knowledge, skills and experience
Essential
- Experience of web testing
- Good MS Office skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Good time management skills
- Attention to detail, fast and accurate
- Able to work to deadlines, cope well under pressure and deliver on time
- Self-motivated, team player
Desirable
- Experience of working on an e-commerce project
- HTML experience
- Experience of project-management tools, such as Jira, Zendesk or Basecamp
- Experience of working in the publishing industry
Additional information
The role is a full-time temporary position for 6 months with a FTE salary of £24,000
The role is based at our London office 50 Bedford Square, London, WC1B 3DP on a hybrid working pattern of 2 days office based / 3 days home based (or fully office based if preferred). Allocated office days for this role are: Monday and Thursday
As an assistant role, this position is eligible for Bloomsbury’s Rental Deposit Loan Scheme. To assist candidates who want to start and to establish a career in publishing, Bloomsbury offers an interest-free rental deposit to support securing somewhere to live. The rental deposit loan can be up to £3,000 and will be paid back over 2 years.
