Parable is a production company and agency working across factual TV and brand consultancy. Based in Kentish Town, London, the company has been operating for 5 years and works with major broadcasters and global brands.
They are searching for an office and production assistant to join their team for 6 months, with the possibility of extending the contract after that. This role is central to the company. You will welcome and settle in all the new starters and be the first person visitors will meet. You will provide support with the running of the office and the productions and there is room within this role to assist further on productions with logistics and research. So, the successful candidate should have an interest in television and its changing landscape.
What you will learn
- You will take care of the day-to-day office management
- You will help new starters settle in and provide access to the IT and email systems
- You will ensure supplies are kept up and that the office is well maintained
- The role also involves some diary and resource management
- Attention to the office environment, including being a key holder and regularly opening up. Locking up when needed
- Basic IT support i.e. providing access, supporting the team with the company systems and preparing work stations
- Managing filming kit and arranging couriers for kit and drives
- Managing media storage systems
Knowledge, skills, experience
- You will need to be able to communicate well
- Be able to identify issues and opportunities and not be afraid to share your ideas
- You will need to be confident with IT packages and will have the ability to handle finances/expenses
- You will need to be good at working within a team and cope well with the time pressures that can arise while working on a production
Desirable
- An education to University level or equivalent would be desirable, but not a prerequisite
