The studio behind Wallace &amp; Gromit are looking for an experienced Nuke Compositor to join an existing team on this high-profile feature production.
The role will involve working closely with our VFX Supervisor and VFX On-Set Supervisor. You will be creating slap comps of blocks and line-ups to check camera angles, lenses and lighting across multiple scales to help inform the approach on the studio floor. You will need an understanding of CG specific VFX such as when to call out HDRs and set scans and will be compositing slap comps of playblast animation.

The role

You will provide accurate, effective and timely office support to the Operations, Sales and Bookings teams, clients on site and staff employed at Warner Bros. De Lane Lea.
The work will be varied and the role offers an opportunity to learn about every aspect of the industry.
 
The Daily:
<ul>
<li>Provide support to the Executive Director, Operations and Director, Post Production</li>
<li>Undertake general administrative duties including but not limited to: raising purchase orders, working with WB centralised systems, data entry, desktop publishing, ad hoc paperwork</li>
<li>Act as a point of contact to both internal and external visitors ensuring that they are given a positive image of the organisation</li>
<li>Provide exceptional customer service and achieve high client and staff satisfaction when carrying out all tasks requested.</li>
<li>Offering general office support as required whilst ensuring general office space is kept neat and presentable at all times</li>
<li>Able to use systems and adopt new technologies</li>
<li>To run any errands requested such as delivering packages, buying food and drink outside WBDLL and keeping an accurate record and receipts of all amounts purchased and for whom</li>
<li>Liaise with operational, managerial and financial staff to ensure the seamless delivery of services</li>
<li>To cover Reception during breaks and lunch hours</li>
<li>Responsible for handling company credit card transactions</li>
<li>Ad hoc duties as required</li>
</ul>
 
Knowledge, skills, experience
<ul>
<li>Passion for production and post production</li>
<li>Strong IT skills and a desire to lean new systems</li>
<li>Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to create an immediate rapport with a range of contacts</li>
<li>Ability to understand and address client and staff needs diplomatically and effectively</li>
<li>Capacity to remain calm and effective in difficult situations</li>
<li>Able to work within a shift pattern as well as ad hoc timings that may include evenings and weekends</li>
<li>The ideal candidate will enjoy working as part of a team in an often pressurised environment</li>

Responsibilities 
<ul>
<li>Take lead responsibility of the upkeep and maintenance of over 250 puppets in line with the artistic requirements of the production</li>
<li>Keep department stocked with all the equipment and sundries required for it to function; and, delegate tasks to and project manage the team</li>
<li>Fit masks and puppets used in the show to individual cast members (training of unique techniques will be provided)</li>
<li>Plan and implement logistics required for tour moves of the department </li>
<li>Carry out maintenance and show calls as required  </li>
<li>Work with wider network of other Lion King Puppets head of departments from productions around the world to ensure consistency and maintenance of high standards</li>
<li>Comply with current health and safety policies, referring to risk assessments, safe systems of work and industry guidance where appropriate, undertake appropriate training </li>
<li>Weekend and evening work integral - Tuesday to Sunday performance tour schedule</li>
<li>Resolve issues as they arise, and liaise with vendors when repairs and replacements are required</li>
<li>Manage department schedule, training and holidays and ensure adequate level of show cover</li>
<li>Liaise with the company manager, resident creative team, technical heads of department, stage management, the acting company and theatre staff to ensure the efficient flow of information as necessary for the smooth running of the show</li>
</ul>
 
Knowledge, skills, experience
<ul>
<li>The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a wide and varied understanding of tools and different fabrication techniques</li>
<li>Experience of working on a large scale musical production desired </li>
<li>Clear, confident communication and decision making essential</li>
<li>Ability to remain focused and calm when under pressure</li>
<li>Excellent relationship and interpersonal skills with cast, creative and production team essential</li>
