This is an excellent opportunity for a marketing manager to join the team of a prestigious media organisation.

We are dedicated to providing up-to-date news and services for the UK’s book publishing, theatre and performing arts industries. Our two weekly titles, The Stage and The Bookseller, are established leaders within their respective fields. Alongside our publications, we produce market-leading job platforms and tools to support the industries we serve.

We're currently seeking a Marketing Manager work on The Stage Jobs, Jobs in Books, and Get Into Theatre.

Key purpose of the role

  • Alongside its publications, The Stage Media Company is responsible for market-leading recruitment platforms, online resources, and events
  • With support from the Marketing Director, the Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies to drive audiences to a range of brand extensions
  • These resources include: The Stage Jobs, Jobs in Books, industry events, training and classified directories and Get Into Theatre
  • The Marketing Manager will also contribute to the overall marketing and communications strategy for the organisation

Knowledge, skills, experience

  • Experience working in a marketing environment, preferably in the publishing, arts, culture, media, heritage, or not-for-profit sector
  • Thorough understanding and demonstrable evidence of successful implementation and measurement of online marketing including email, paid social and paid Google search campaigns
  • Line management experience and able to maximise opportunities to drive recruitment sales on owned digital properties as well as third party websites
  • You will think creatively, be unflappable when facing deadlines, dive into data, discover opportunities, tackle problems, and work closely with the team to develop highly-optimised campaigns
