Deadline: 20th March 2025 &nbsp;The TV Foundation is&nbsp;bringing together ten TV professionals in a yearlong, free-to-access programme to&nbsp;put climate at the heart of&nbsp;the&nbsp;industry.&nbsp;Whether&nbsp;you&nbsp;work in development or marketing, whether&nbsp;you’re&nbsp;in scripted or unscripted,&nbsp;as a&nbsp;Changemaker&nbsp;you&nbsp;will have ambitions to bring climate to the screen and want to join a supportive community of like-minded individuals to make that happen.&nbsp;&nbsp;Everyone’s perspective and experience should feel welcome and represented in the climate movement. With that in mind, we encourage applications from people that are historically under-represented in the sector in terms of ethnicity, disability and working class background. &nbsp;What happens on the Changemakers programme?<ul><li>Complimentary delegate pass and accommodation at this year’s Edinburgh TV Festival, as well as a VIP Changemakers Dinner held during the Festival.</li><li>A free ticket to Ignite: Climate Content Summit 2025</li><li>Three in-person sessions throughout the year to connect Changemakers with ideas and research; understanding the practicalities of impact storytelling in their role; and helping them to identify any challenges or obstacles. </li><li>Networking with a community of TV industry professionals interested in moving climate content forward. Joining a growing network of like-minded professionals including the Changemakers 2024 alumni.</li><li>1:1s throughout the year to help set and track your goals.&nbsp;</li></ul> Eligibility criteria<ul><li>At least ten years’ experience in the TV industry. There is no upper age or experience limit, but the scheme is pitched at people at ‘senior level’ in their careers, who have decision-making power and influence.</li><li>A passion for and understanding of the TV industry’s ability to impact audiences and bring more climate content to screens. You don’t need to be a climate expert.</li><li>Ambition and commitment to take action to bring about more or better climate content. You'll also be able to build contacts and working relationships across sectors and take strides to achieve career objectives.&nbsp;The programme is open to freelancers working across the UK, with opportunities to attend training either online or in person. The opportunity is designed for those who:<ul><li>Are currently freelancing, and have been for at least six months.</li><li>Work within TV (across any genre or department) and are at mid-level in their career (c.5-8 years of experience) –&nbsp;please note that programme participation is not dependent on current employment.</li><li>Have had some experience of coordinating or managing projects.</li><li>Are interested in developing new skills to help progress their career.</li><li>Want to connect with a group of like-minded individuals with similar goals.</li><li>Identify as being from an under-represented group in the creative industries.
