About us

The Creative Diversity Network (CDN) is a non-profit organisation that exists as a critical friend to the UK Broadcasting industry to increase diversity, representation and inclusion helping create an industry with equity at its core.

We work with our members (currently BAFTA, BBC, BSLBT, Channel 4, ITV,  Paramount, S4C, ScreenSkills, Sky, UKTV, and Warner Bros. Discovery) to use data to drive impactful change where people regardless of their background have opportunities to create and grow within the industry.

We also seek to ensure that people see themselves accurately represented on screen as we know media, especially TV, is hugely influential and impactful in its representation of society. We do this through using Diamond, our data collection and monitoring system - the first of its kind, that collects diversity data of those working on UK productions.

We are a small organisation with a big footprint! You can see more of our work here, including our recent 6th annual report on diversity in television in the UK, and with more deep dives into our data to come, now is an exciting time to be increasing our profile in the industry and creating a deeper connection with the industry at all levels.
