Drive the future of social media advertising at Channel 4 by transforming data into revenue-boosting strategies.

The Sales Operations team is responsible for the creation and delivery of maximising revenue across all delivery methods of viewing within the 4Sales portfolio in both linear, VoD and social. The team is required to deliver exceptional levels of service to Sales and our customers, in managing both direct and programmatic deals, executing innovative methods of creating value through systems, working practices and new trading opportunities, as well as communicating and forecasting programming content.

The department works with several external vendors and key stakeholders across the business to develop roadmaps, ensure smooth day-to-day operations and troubleshoot as well as providing the answers to any content, data, forecasting and operational questions.

The Social Sales Analyst works closely with the social monetisation team who are responsible for advertising sales across C4’s social channels.  Social is a key pillar of the Fast Forward strategy which focuses on prioritising digital growth. This role will help cement our market leading position and continue to drive revenue.

This role is primarily responsible for forecasting, trafficking, and optimising digital video advertising campaigns across our channel networks, supporting the business strategy, and driving revenue across 4Studio’s social channels. There are also numerous opportunities to discuss and drive strategy with external suppliers. The successful candidate will become an expert in manipulating and analysing the wealth of data at Channel 4 to support the Social team either through answering queries, supporting them in pitching or pulling together collateral.



Responsibilities

  • Traffic all video ad campaigns on Google Ad Manager and other Social Platforms.
  • Optimise and monitor campaigns daily to ensure campaigns are delivering and performing in line with KPI’s.
  • Provide campaign reports in line with the advertisers formatting and delivery requirements.
  • Work with wider 4studio team to create custom YouTube packages in GAM.
  • Identify and communicate inventory opportunities (excess supply) when the opportunity arises and highlight areas of risk on a regular and continual basis.
  • Run pre-sale inventory requests and provide monthly forecasts to sales teams.
  • Proactively identify ways to streamline campaign workflows and improve client service.
  • Lead the creation of our YouTube Ad Specs and help shape our SLAs.
  • Support formation social ad sales strategy, including sales development and marketing initiatives. 
  • Manage sales pipeline and weighted revenue forecasts.
  • Support delivery, and exceeding of monthly and annual revenue targets.
  • Create high-impact reports that deliver key insight and analysis.
  • Work with the 4Studio Creative Strategists and 4Studio Branded Content Team to support branded content briefs with social packages. 
  • Work with the Legal and Compliance teams to ensure all campaigns follow the relevant Channel 4 and legal guidelines.

Essential experience and skills

  • Understanding and experience working with Google Ad Manager (GAM).
  • Highly proficient in both spreadsheet analysis and the ability to select key pieces of information and articulate it to the sales team.
  • Experience troubleshooting and verifying 3rd party ad serving and tracking systems including Viewability and Brand Safety vendors.
  • The ability to liaise on technical, operational and sales driven agendas with stakeholders.
  • Experience working with decision-makers at a range of levels and in different disciplines.
  • Comfortable in presenting to stakeholders, internal and external.
  • Pro-activity and the ability to problem solve.
  • Ability to use a data visualisation tool and then interpret the data.
  • Comfortable with numbers and data with complex problem solving.
