We are looking for an administrative assistant to join our busy, flourishing Children’s Books division.

The successful candidate will be an integral part of the Simon & Schuster UK Children’s team offering invaluable administrative support, working across all Children’s sub-departments with a particular focus on Sales and Marketing.
This role reports to the Head of Children’s Sales with a dotted line into the Marketing Director.
Responsibilities
The job role is predominantly administration-based, including but not limited to facilitating:
- the smooth processing of supplier invoices;
- creating and co-ordinating materials for internal and external presentations;
- scheduling meetings;
- taking minutes of meetings;
- booking travel;
- managing event orders with external contacts and our warehouse;
- running market data and compiling sales histories;
- updating internal databases and presentations and supporting social media marketing campaigns.
Knowledge, skills and experience
- We are looking for an individual who has a good grounding in administration and is able to hit the ground running with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- They must have excellent attention to detail with first-rate organisational and prioritisation skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office is a must.
- They will be a quick learner of systems and be able to work both autonomously and with supervision/support.
