
BIM coordinator
Salary: £45,000-£50,000
Bell Phillips Architects seeks a skilled BIM Coordinator to drive our digital transformation.
Bell Phillips Architects is a dynamic and friendly team of 30 located in beautiful riverside offices in Wapping, E1. We specialise in housing with a growing body of work in public realm, education and commercial sectors. We work on regeneration and direct delivery housing for many of the London boroughs, and for many aspirational, well-known developers such as Related Argent and Lendlease.
We are looking for a full time BIM Coordinator to oversee the development, organisation and documentation of Bell Phillips BIM implementation, and to provide day-to-day BIM support to the team and promote BIM skills within the team through ongoing training. This is a full-time role.
Responsibilities include:
- Overall development, organisation and documentation of BIM strategy and implementation
- Support all staff in their architectural design & delivery work, monitoring and assisting with the BIM requirements during the design development and delivery stages of all projects
- Oversee BIM project set up for all projects
- Creation and maintenance of software templates to assure standards
- Stay informed on best practices for use of Revit, monitor and evaluate latest CAD & BIM developments, identify new BIM techniques to improve quality or efficiency
- Provide technical support and troubleshoot day to day issues with the team
- Provide regular BIM training and CPD sessions
- Ensure project & office systems & procedures meet latest BIM Standards
- Regularly update the BIM Manual in relation to BIM procedures and standards and BIM library
- Review and monitor BIM activities against insurers requirements.
Knowledge, skills and experience
The ideal candidate will be a qualified Architect with the following experience:
- 2 years post qualification work experience in an architectural practice
- Experience of preparing BIM protocols and project execution plans.
- Detailed knowledge and experience of Revit and associated software with strong expertise in BIM model management
- Detailed knowledge of current BIM requirements
- Be able to successfully produce and manage complex 2D, 3D CAD & BIM protocols and project execution plans
- Experience of Dynamo scripting for task automation and process optimisation.
- Familiarity with Navisworks for clash detection and model review.
- Knowledge of Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) for document and model management.
- Strong ability to export, analyse, and visualize BIM data using Excel and Power BI.
- Understanding of BS EN ISO 19650 standards; certification is a plus.
- Ability to leverage Revit plugins and workflows to improve efficiency.
- Strong problem-solving skills, communication, and a proactive approach to BIM coordination.
