Nurture emerging dance talent whilst building essential skills in youth support, administration, and marketing in this paid 12-month internship.

The Place, London’s creative powerhouse for dance development, has been leading the way in dance training, creation and performance for over 50 years. The Place’s Centre for Advanced Training (CAT) is part of a national intensive dance programme for 11-18-year-olds who display exceptional potential and passion for dance.

The CAT Trainee will assist in the delivery of the CAT programme at The Place. The successful candidate will work under the guidance of the CAT management team and support the administration and delivery of the programme, including the pastoral care of CAT students, learning the necessary skills required for supporting a busy youth vocational training programme.

The CAT Trainee will work closely with our expert CAT team to hone a range of skills including: organisation and time management strategies,  youth safeguarding, copywriting, social media and marketing, minute-taking, and youth support.

As this trainee will be working with under 18s, an Enhanced DBS check is required for any person taking on this traineeship. The Place will cover the costs of this check if the successful candidate does not have a check already.
