UK Screen Alliance in partnership with Animation UK is the trade association that represents visual effects (VFX), TV & film studios, post production, production services and animation in the UK. It is the membership organisation for about 200 leading employers in this sector, and its primary purpose is advocacy at national, regional and local level for its member companies, to ensure that business conditions in the UK are optimal. The sector we represent generates well in excess of £2billion in GVA for the UK economy each year.

We’re looking for a creative and highly organised communications and events coordinator to help amplify our voice across the UK screen industries and to support the planning and delivery of exciting industry events. You’ll play a key role in creating engaging content, managing our digital channels (including our website and social media), coordinating our newsletters, and helping to run a calendar of events that bring our members and stakeholders together. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with experience in communications and events who is passionate about the UK screen industries and enjoys working in a small team where your voice and ideas really count.



Key responsibilities

Essential

  • Experience of website management (WordPress)
  • Level 2 Maths and English at least
  • Experience of professional social media management (LinkedIn and Instagram)
  • Knowledge of Canva or similar (for image formatting and simple graphics)
  • Experience of event management
  • Ability to build rapport and effective working relationships quickly with other team members, current and prospective members, current and prospective sponsors, senior influencers and suppliers of member benefits
  • Good written and verbal communication skills; ability to write promotional and informational content
  • Highly organised, pro-active and motivated with the proven ability to work on own initiative and problem-solve
  • Good IT skills – PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Teams, Zoom and Outlook. Experience with contact databases. Ability to intuitively adapt to use other web platforms such as MailChimp, Eventbrite and Survey Monkey
