If you're passionate about educational publishing and committed to making learning accessible for all, we want to hear from you.

This is an exciting opportunity for you to join a passionate, fast-paced environment providing world class support to our millions of customers and qualifications around the world. We are Cambridge University Press & Assessment, a world-leading academic publisher and assessment organisation and a proud part of the University of Cambridge.

The Content Team in the International Education business area is responsible for developing educational products for the International and UK schools markets across a wide range of subjects. We are looking for a motivated and organised person to support us in the key areas of English as an Additional Language (the Language of Learning) and pedagogy (the Science of Learning), EDIB (Equality, Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging) as well as reviewing and developing our guidance on Accessibility within our resources.

What you'll be doing

As part of this role, you will:

  • Develop an understanding of the Content Team and how they function in the wider International Education business area.
  • Assist with day-to-day editorial tasks such as proofreading draft manuscripts to ensure quality and alignment to appropriate curriculums and attending project team meetings.
  • Support on the identification, testing and implementation of accessibility best practices to minimise barriers in teaching and learning materials.
  • Engage with and contribute to the cross-company accessibility community.
  • Analyse content published over the past two/three years in the context of our pedagogical aims and core feature set, collating examples of best practice into a ‘pedagogy library' to support authors and development editors when creating new content in the future.

What you'll bring

You will have an interest in educational publishing and developing editorial skills. You will demonstrate a passion for gaining a better understanding of international education and its impact globally. You will have an interest in the significance of accessibility and potential barriers to learning that students can face. Whilst we are interested in your school, college or university experience, we are particularly keen to hear about your extra-curricular activities and why you would like to pursue an internship with Cambridge University Press & Assessment.

To be successful in this role, the following skills, values and behaviours are desirable:

  • An active interest in one or more of the following areas: Equality, Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging; pedagogy; English as an Additional Language; and Accessibility.
  • Ability to quickly form positive working relationships
  • Research and analysis skills.

We welcome and encourage applications from candidates who are under-represented in the creative industries.

Please state in your application that you found this role through Creative Access.
