Simon & Schuster UK is looking for a motivated contracts executive or senior contracts executive to join and support the Contracts team.

Reporting to the Head of Contracts, the successful candidate will providing the essential contractual business function across the company working with different departments internally, and authors externally.

 

Responsibilities

  • You will draft, review and negotiate simple head contracts for the UK Adult and Children’s Publishing divisions, working closely with the Editorial teams to answer queries as needed, while providing contractual support and advice.
  • You will liaise with different departments across the company and be responsible for licensing contracts between the company’s groups.
  • You will also be handling reversion requests across all divisions.

What we're looking for

  • The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of drafting, reviewing and negotiating publishing contracts and standard contractual and publishing terms.
  • They will also have strong organisational and communication skills as well as experience of working in a busy environment.
  • A keen eye for detail, ability to work to deadlines and a proactive nature are also essential.
