
Crew coordinator, Coronation Street - 12 months FTC (Mat Cover)

We're seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to become a vital part of our vibrant Coronation Street crew. This is your chance to learn, grow, and play an essential role in bringing our stories to life alongside a passionate and supportive team, by supporting production in the resourcing, scheduling, payment, and administration of staff and freelance crew. This involves day-to-day contact dealings with a diverse range of internal and external people including staff and freelance crew, contractors, managers and members of the production team.
Knowledge, skills & experience
- Some experience rostering and rescheduling a team of people on a film or TV production
- Demonstrable understanding of Working Time Regulations, Drivers Hours rules and (ideally) familiarity with the In-House Agreement
- Proven exceptional organisational and administrative skills with the ability to drive a best practice and legally compliant approach to hiring and contracting in a fast turnaround and fluid production environment
- Experience of a meticulous approach to detail and tasks as directed
- Experience of working in a team or individually as required
- Excellent communication skills as well as a demonstrable degree of tact, diplomacy and discretion
- Excellent IT skills including experience of a scheduling system
- Knowledge and experience of Health and Safety principles and issues
- Demonstrable technical production knowledge and understanding of crew roles and their responsibilities
- Demonstrable and successful interpersonal skills including the ability to take a variety of approaches when dealing with issues and problems to ensure a successful outcome
- Awareness of TV drama production
- Ability to manage the scheduling system ensuring that information entered into the system is complete and accurate
- Ability to explore and where appropriate suggest new ways of working using IT systems to streamline processes
- Demonstrable interest in learning new systems to ensure production is efficient and data can be reported on swiftly
- Experience of providing a proactive and creative approach to solving problems and improving processes
